What time should I arrive?

The answer depends on the location:FOR HYLANDS PARK - CHELMSFORDAim to arrive between 7pm and 7:30pm.The show will commence around 8:30pm and conclude around 9pm.FOR COLCHESTER CASTLE PARK:Gates Open: 6:00pmLast Admission: 7:15pmShow Starts: 7:45pm (approx.)Show Ends: 8:20pm (approx.)

Is there parking?

Chelmsford event: Onsite parking is available. Please follow the event signposts when you arrive. Parking is included at no cost.Colchester event: There is no dedicated event parking, as the event takes place in the city centre. However, there are several public car parks nearby.

Is there a discount for Carers?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we permit one free carer per party where required. Do children need to pay?

All children must book a ticket. Children under the age of 3 are free of charge but must still book a ticket. There is a charge for children age 3-15 years. Children 16 and over pay the adult price.

Do I need to pre-book?

Yes, tickets are very limited for each time show so must be pre-booked.

Are dogs allowed into the event?

Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted to attend our shows.

Will there be strobe or flashing lights?

Accepted Answer

There will be pulsating and flashing light effects across all sections of our shows (with additional haze/smoke effects at various points). Customers with motion sensitivity are also advised there are sections of the show with slow motion lighting effects.

How will my tickets arrive?

Accepted Answer

As soon as you’ve completed the purchase of your tickets you will be shown your order number (please make a note of this) as well as a link to download your tickets immediately. You can also use your order number and email address to access your tickets via the “My Tickets” section of our website.

Do I need to print my tickets?

Accepted Answer

No, all you need to do is download your tickets on your mobile device and then show the QR code for each ticket to the stewards upon arrival.

Can my tickets be changed or cancelled?

At A Curious Adventure, all sales are final. Once you have booked your tickets for the Enchanting Drone Show Experience, they cannot be cancelled, refunded, or exchanged under any circumstances. We recommend carefully reviewing your plans before completing your purchase to ensure you can attend the event, as this policy helps us maintain a seamless and secure experience for all guests.

Our event takes place on a large event field. Whilst generally flat and even, ground conditions do vary depending upon the weather.

Re-entry is not permitted.

What happens if it is raining or snowing, or windy?

Accepted Answer

Drone shows are more sensitive to weather conditions than other events. For safety and regulatory reasons, the performance may be delayed, paused or cancelled in the event of unsuitable conditions such as high winds, heavy rain or poor visibility. Our team continuously monitors the forecast and on-site conditions in the lead-up to and during the show. If a cancellation is required, all ticket holders will be notified by email and updates will be shared on our website and social channels as soon as possible. We recommend checking for updates before travelling and allowing extra time in case of schedule adjustments.

Will refunds be offered if the event is cancelled due to poor weather conditions?

Accepted Answer

In the event that the show cannot go ahead due to unsuitable weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the performance and tickets will remain valid for the new date. As drone operations are highly weather-dependent and safety-led, refunds are not guaranteed in the case of cancellation. Where rescheduling is not possible, any alternative arrangements, including refunds or ticket transfers, will be communicated to ticket holders directly.

No, refreshments are not included in the price of the ticket but the food vendors do accept card payments.

No, fairground rides are not included in the price of the ticket.

Can we bring camping chairs and picnic blankets?

Accepted Answer

For crowd safety reasons, camping chairs are not permitted within the main arena and the event is a standing event although picnic blankets are permitted.We do, however, have a dedicated accessible viewing area for guests with limited mobility. Anyone who requires a seat due to a mobility issue is welcome to bring a small camping chair for use within this area. Note this area is not raised.Please note that seating is not provided within the accessible viewing area, so guests who require a seat should bring their own suitable small camping chair.
